In case you don't know personally there is a few reasons why the new 2013 G4 models have the high dollar price tag. A product that's made in the USA is a rare find these days and that alone is enough for some to make the purchase. The main things for me is DURABILITY, COMFORT-ABILITY and SEX APPEAL...just kidding... These waders have been through the worst possible abuse that any one Steelhead fisherman can dish out. With that being said, its not that I purposely destroyed these. I didn't always have time to send them in for repair, anyone who's anyone in the winter Steelhead game knows the battle of aggressive weather fronts and severe water fluctuation. When the bites on, the bites on. I'm not about to miss an opportunity to catch because of a gear issue.
When you break down the cost of a wader consider a few things, Dollar to Hour ratio is the best description.. The amount of time being strapped in so to speak. These waders are my body armor, words straight from Simms.." They aren't body armor Erick" Lets just agree to disagree.
Withstanding wet and dry, sub zero temperatures, Sand, snow and everything else in between. Basically everything the Oregon weather can dish out.
On the river chasing Steelhead is a passion of mine. Simms have definitely past the test of time, these waders haven't skipped a beat.... The AquaSeal is ridiculous on these, its not the prettiest repair but it gets the job done... I cant wait to get a new pair of the G4's ill put them to the test.
P.S the days marked 2,243 is just an estimate..not actual documented fishing time......
